Proposed Manteo Business Association
Bringing people together and making connections in order to build and share opportunities and resources are benefits of creating a local business association. Business associations are unified networks supporting each other with a common goal of achieving growth and success for themselves, their businesses and their community. Navigating through the different challenges we face as a community takes more than just one organization or business, it truly needs to be a team effort.
The Town will host its first organizational meeting on the proposed Manteo Business Association (MBA) on June 8th at 5:30 pm. Interested parties can join by video or by phone using Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89558677695 or by dialing +1-301-715-8592, +1-312-626-6799, or +1-929-436-2866 and then entering Meeting ID 895-5867-7695. We know there may be challenges with so many people on the conference call, but that will be outweighed by the need to hear from all stakeholders, from business owners to non-profits to attractions.
Participants will get a sneak peek at exciting new initiatives in the economic development program designed to help all businesses throughout town along with the jobs they provide to our residents. As the Town works to support local businesses and employers, these initial meetings will help guide the direction of the new MBA. The Town is offering substantial help in this endeavor, including marketing and promotional support, staff assistance, new dedicated websites, social media platforms, and even free dues for a year!
